I've been wanting to build a model of Irish Rail's 22000 Intercity Railcar for several years, and I thought it was time I just got on with it.
The Cab is a really interesting shape, and i'm sure there's a to achieve this with 2x6 curved wedge slopes. I'm not feeling it's where I would like it, so I'll be reworking it. Most of my trains have taken at least 4-5 iterations to get to a stage where I'm happy.
It's also one of my first experiments with 7-wide trains, so I've learned a few things, but I think I need to learn a few more before I'll be happy.
Thought I'd share progress so far.
Last year I built a LEGO model of RMS Leinster for the centenary of the sinking, which was displayed in the Lexicon (Dun Laoghaire library) for the month of the centenary. During the year it was at various Brick.ie events, however, during that time I've learned how to make the model sturdier.
Yesterday it went into the National Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire, for an extended loan.
Hi all,
I've been a member of Brick.ie for a while now but only recently tried to make something having been inspired by all your amazing creations on view at Naas Library in May (unfortunately I was away for Brick Féile).
I tried to recreate Castletown House, a wonderfully restored Georgian palladian mansion in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
These simple flowers are part of a small collection I built specifically for the recent New Elementary Parts Festival. Each build took one evening to create and was completed in August 2019.
For anyone not familiar with the parts festivals:
New Elementary is a Recognised LEGO® Fan Media blog site.
Pre-selected collections of new LEGO® elements (seed parts) are sent to AFOLs who have to come up with new or alternative uses/connections and incorporate the parts into small MOCs which are fthen eatured on the site.
Multiples of the seed parts provided by New Elementary were used in each of the models below.
Both Wallyjarek and I participated in the latest festival.
My little cousins were big fans of Forky in Toy Story 4 and asked me if it was possible to make one out of LEGO. So here's the finished build from parts I had. There's a couple of bits I'd change if I had the right parts to hand but happy enough with it for a half hours building!

Deeply rooted in old Slavic folklore, the Baba Yaga is as mysterious as she is terrifying. Tales vary as to who and what she really is, but most agree that the Baba Yaga is an old hag who dwells deep in the forest in a magical hut on chicken legs.
Small vignette I threw together last night for a Facebook group build competition. The theme was London.
Pretty happy with how it turned out and would definitely support the new PM.

So, I finally managed to get hold of Jack Skellington, so I had to make a little MOC...

By the way, remember the pumpkin heads we had on LUGbulk a few years back. I skipped them at the time. I wonder would someone be able to spare me one or two?

One of my latest creations.
Idea of this model came when I made other flowers what you saw in Naas, I mean vases in shape of Lego bricks.
I choose red brick with stud on the side which is supposed to look like "roses".
Perfectly for vase the elements fit in from set Orient Expedition 7418 - Tower Roof 8 x 12 x 10 Onion Dome.
Model looks excelent in the living room and you do not need to water
This is one of my few models which takes part in the competition Help Decorate The Lego House this year.
