BR 70, a German steam engine

Another model that's been under construction for a while and has finally been finished and photographed:

More pictures on Flickr.
I'll be adding building instructions shortly.

Amsterdam tram

You may have seen it on Eurobricks or Flickr already, I've finally finished my model of a 1980's Amsterdam tram.

While the rear is not entirely accurate I'm very happy with the rest of the model.

Ernie and Bert

Ernie and Bert

I built this for a display of characters from children's television shows, and I thought it worked out quite well. Apparently lots of children were photographed with them over the weekend.

No one would have believed...

...in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.

Gosh, the book is rather dry. I think I prefer the Jeff Wayne version.

1930s?-style posh old car, 4-wide two seater

Well, in procrastinating about starting on modification of Café Corner, I was browsing my vehicle parts container ("modified" plates, incl. wheel arches, seats, space brackets/seats) and got on to thinking if I couldn't use the 2005 style wheel arches for an old car (you know the ones where there is defined wheel housing/mudguards).

Market Street MOD, Hat shop and hair salon

Ever since getting Market Street, Café Corner, Green Grocer and Town Plan I have intended to modify them/kit them out. Although I doubt I will ever use any of them for parts, I have no qualms about adjusting them to my own liking - making structural modifications/expansions as well as added content.

Angel of the North

I've recently been involved with a publicity project for LEGO UK.

Agents HQ - a lengthy project finished

Posted this to Eurobricks already - but for those who don't frequent there:

I had an idea for a Lego Agents base for some time, using the 3D police station baseplate. After a failed initial project (it was too lateral to incorporate an elevator, stairs took too much room and it was corridors not rooms) I had a revisit of it, embarking upon a vertical construction. The initial design had a vehicle bay at the front hinging open like the Agents truck - the redesign instead used those panels for a "missile silo" type construction.
