Here's some photos of a train station I've been working on this year. It's mainly finished apart from some extra interior details for the two upper floors on the main building. It's not based on any real station, but is more of a homage to the old station sets that LEGO made in the 70s, 80s and 90s, which is why it's in red.

"Allow me? I am Captain James Bartholomew Hook, world's most famous crook - captain of the fine mighty Jolly Roger and its crew, honorable pirate, finder of many treasures and killer of the Croco... Okay, who am I kidding.."
Captain Hook by Markus Rollbühler, auf Flickr
For some reason, Disney's Captain Hook was always a favorite of mine. Not really evil, clumsy and funny at times, having his own nemesis in the shape of a comical crocodile - and always being outwitted by Peter Pan. Or clumsy Mr. Smee.
Long story short: I had to build him - in this iconic pose, including the crocodile. It was great fun and a challenge to build at this scale, especially with those limiting colors (I'm talking to you, magenta!).
Hello everyone!
I just came back from Chicago and Brickworld two days ago and I can finally show you what I worked on for a couple of months this year. Some of you already saw this beauty in one form or another.
Last year I built the Frauenkirche Dresden (exhibited in Dublin last year) and ever since I was hooked on Architecture scale. This year I wanted to push the limits that this scale creates even further.
An event in Norway and Brickworld offered a playground as I wanted to show something new next to the old one and after a while I settled on the Santa Maria della Salute, an iconic church from Venice, Italy.
For my Battle of Hoth Diorama, I've been working on the medical base with Luck in the tank getting thawed out.
Hope y'all like it!
James

Cherry blossom tree built mostly with flower pieces. The main technique is to keep the flower petals on their sprues, connected my stem pieces.
A run down of the method follows...
My ent from The Tower of Orthanc set looked a bit lonely so I built some company for him.
Feel free to comment, criticize or offer advice.

Also thanks Duq for advice on how to post and link pics from Flickr.
A big thank you to Rod Gillies over on Flickr for inspiration (downright plagiarism) from his "Lakehouse Kidnap" creation. I did ask for his permission first. Below is the link to Rods pic.

PS, what's the best size to upload a pic here?. I went far too big initially and had to start over. Maybe it's a little on the small side now. (640 x 480)
This is old moc (~ 2010) I came across a picture of. It's an experimentation with indoor lighting. Not the best quality photo but probably better than the food.
I found that the white LED light's cold colour could be improved by using quality street wrappers...
