Mel-Tropolis

Hi Everyone, I've just posted a new video of the 3rd rebuild of the Lego City to YouTube.

I've named the city Meltropolis after my wife and it will have 4 districts, named after the kids, Leahsburg, the industrial area, Georgiatown, a shopping district, Abbieville, residential and Arwentureland, the fairground. This is going to take years to complete and I'm trying to use as many of the sets I have to begin with and not spend too much on parts so I'll be starting some projects like a mountain or hospital and returning when I can afford more parts.

I'll be automating the trains using 9V track with arduinos for control and the plan is to illuminate the buildings with LED light kits.

MOC - Gamora and Thanos

The fifth in the series of Amfenz/Dfenz Marvel superhero mosaics, this time by me ... and still waiting on lavender and sand blue 1x1 plates to make these a little easier.

Leprechaun

New 'bigfig' leprechaun, built for Bricktastic Manchester where there is a Bigfig project. Pic uploaded to the image gallery.

NIR 4000

I've been going back and scraping some of my very early 6 wide trains and remaking 7 wide.

Remade the NIR 4000 class, replaced the inverted slopes with cheese slopes, though still some work to do at the front as the bottom section sits out about half a brick more than it should.

Skate Park

A little moving scene.

I'm not sure of forum etiquette here, but I think it's time for a better introduction by displaying what I'm currently working on. I suppose I'm best off keeping one thread for all my future MOCs, and I can later edit this to be an index.

Glendalough

Hi folks

I've added a couple of images of Janet vanD's (Jessica Farrell) latest MOC - historic Glendalough to the image gallery.

No doubt Jessica can provide more information about the build here.

There are a couple of extra pics on the Facebook page where it is easier to upload photos.

Mark V tank

Hi,

I have really got into building tanks from rebrickable:

The Sherman was really difficult because I had to guess form a lego digital designer LXF model file how the pieces needed to fit together. But I got it in the end.

The next project is to make the following:

Serial is a real technic guru but he never gives out the instructions. So in order to build it I will have to piece it together using the youtube video above.

Hi all,
after months and months of work I would like to show you my real first MOC. I am working also on the loco but so far this is the item I am most proud of. I am a train lover and I am starting to move into 8wide more and more as I believe they look like more realistic than the 6w standard Lego. Said that this model hasn't yet been built in bricks but only in digital with stud.io and it took me a lot of time and effort. I wanted to use that roof orange part which was quite cheap and therefore I moved on with that, making improvements over another. at the beginning the white stripe had the height of a stud but I wans't satisfied and I therefore studied several way of making it thinner and so now I am very happy. I need to get still some bricks then I can start the building and will update this post in due course.
What do you guys think?
Any feedback or criticism really appreciate.
Cheers, Maurizio

Translink Glider

Work in progress, Translink Glider Bus. I was desperately trying to keep to six wide, but I'm not happy with the front. So I'll have to do some more experimenting.
