I've never been satisfied by the turrets in any of the Hoth sets (and there must be half a dozen versions of it by now). They all have the problem of a straight cylinder, when in the movie the turret clearly tapers. I've made a number attempts at building one.
Hopefully images show up okay. Here are my fist two mocs. They are small 8 X 8 vignette for fringe and Martin from the simpsons. Hope to make more in the coming weeks. Any feedback appreciated (even negative if necessary ).
Now is another step in my MOC's creation.
I want to build cistern to my truck.
I want to use chrome bricks, this is very expensive again.
I counted it and I need more then 700 chromed bricks.
Maybe I change colour, but I dont have to buy everything now
I started to model container.
I need around 30-40 such pieces.
What do you think?
Any idea about the colour?
Originally built for the film set, I call these my "Random Rooms" because they are random depictions of interiors; they're not attached to each other or anything else, nor are they part of a larger MOC. The four rooms together took a total of 16 hours to create and build. They were completed in March 2016.

This is my first huge project. Three years ago I was wanted to build truck, especially Peterbilt truck.
I haven't the bricks to build it, so it was main reason why I needed three years.
Inside are: 1 XL motor, 1 servo motor, 5 sets of lights and a lot of chrome bricks and few engraved bricks. I didn't counted other bricks.
Hey,
I have completed my first real MOC. It is the scene from the dark knight where they capture the joker just before batman reveals he is in the room.
One of the challenges I had at Brick 2015 was integrating a curved 9v track with our standard brick-built roads. Not only will you need an 8x32 sections at each end to align baseplates correctly (the curved section extends to 56 studs in each direction and official 9v tracks only come in 16 lengths - but not sure about ME tracks) but the tiling around the track to follow the curve is a pain. This WIP picture is of the version I had before it fell out of the van in London and had to be rebuilt (completely differently of course) from whatever spares I had with me.
Oiley, you might find it helpful for your curved track section in your GPO model.
Hi all.
I have finally finished my Tram Terminus.
The size is 48 studs x 144 studs.
It can be shortened to 48 x 96.
Niall.
