Warren Elsmore's Brick Wonder's exhibition is coming to Derry

The event is organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council as parts of Science and Innovation program.

Did you know that between 6th February and 2nd May 2016, the amazing Brick Wonders Exhibition is coming to Derry~Londonderry? The creator Warren Elsmore has built over 70 LEGO models and the exhibition covers not only the seven Ancient Wonders, but also Seven Old, Modern and Natural wonders.

Get your Lego bricks ready as you could be entering our All Ireland Wonders Competition, inviting entrants to design and build the ‘Wonder of their County’ using LEGO bricks and take part in regional heats. The final heat will take place in Derry~Londonderry. Finalists will be exhibited in a LEGO Trail throughout the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.

Using LEGO® bricks, artist Warren Elsmore creates stunning scenes with easy-to-follow instructions.

Our regular monthly meetings resume in Nealons pub from 2-ish until about 4.30. All members welcome to discuss all things LEGO in a friendly environment.

Our only Dublin display of the year - now on at Blackrock college

Just a reminder to all members that our only Dublin exhibition this year is currently taking place at Blackrock College, Dublin as part of the South Dublin Model Railway Club Exhibition. Opening hours are 11-5pm this Sunday and bank holiday Monday. We would love to see as many members as possible there and be sure to introduce yourself.

Our next exhibition - October bank holiday 2015 - is fast approaching

Our final Irish exhibition of the year will take place over the October bank holiday weekend (24-26 October) from 11am to 5pm each day at Blackrock College as part of the South Dublin Model Railway Exhibition. This is our only Dublin based exhibition of the year and features many great models of Dublin landmark buildings, our largest LEGO train layout this year, a huge castle, aswell as other surprises including an amazingly realistic LEGO aquarium and a new Ninjago model built for this show.

Naas display (4 and 5 September) fast approaching

On Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September we host our next event in Naas Library where you can meet some of our LEGO builders and their models up close. All are welcome although larger groups, from schools etc. will need to book in advance with the library. Admission is free.

Annual brick.ie get together

The annual brick.ie get together has now been scheduled for Saturday 26 September at 2pm in the UPSTAIRS function room in Nealon's pub. It will run to about 6pm and we'll have lots of competitions, great prizes and food. This is not to be missed. All members welcome - simply post in the forum to let us know you are coming.
