Here's a tunnel I recently built that I mentioned to Dfenz at yesterday's meeting. It's built on a 48x48 baseplate with the "outer" track 8 studs in from the edge of the baseplate, with a clearing of 12 studs between each track. The archways are 10 studs wide so even 8 wide trains can pass through easily.
