Hi everyone,

I've long been a fan of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I'm currently involved in a Convention, Lazlar Lyricon 3, which is taking place in June in Stoke on Trent, UK. We're promoting this at another convention, Eastercon, which is taking place this weekend in Birmingham. One of the activities taking place will be the building of LEGO models based on the TV series version of the story.

I've also designed a Vogon destructor:

My plan is to get participants to build a fleet of them and pose them around a globe of the Earth. I was hoping to get a loan of a LEGO globe someone I know in the UK built. Unfortunately they don't have it any more. Even if I built my own, I've have no way of transporting to the UK, so plan B is to use an inflatable non-LEGO one.
