The projects up for grabs if they reach the requisite numbers are:
Brickwest Studios €289.99
1950s diner €109.99
Studgate Train Station €339.99
Winter Chalet €169.99
Working waterfall €189.99
Space troopers €169.99
Mountain View observatory €269.99
Steam powered science €249.99
Modular construction site €269.99
I can't help but think some of these have been priced out of the market for what you get.
The winter chalet seems decent value to me and the diner might gather support but my favourites, the brickwest studios and the train station, are higher priced than I expected
Hey
I recall someone looking for yellow 1x1 plates around lugbulk but I can’t remember who.
They are now on PAB in Sheffield and will probably pop up in other cities also.
I see that there is a notice on the main bricklink page this morning saying that there has been a cyber incident with one of its partners. Certain transactions are not currently possible, namely all non-EU to EU sales and non-UK to UK. Intra-EU are not mentioned as impacted. Given the nature of the transactions it might be tax related.
[Edit: they advise that an update will be shared as soon as possible and no later than the 16th March ... not a fix in an hour then]
From LAN. As some of you may have noticed Bricks and Pieces is not available today.
"Today is a major update in the PaB Merger experience
March 11th: Around 2pm CST paid B&P will be closed down in all markets. One of the learnings from the first 5 countries was that there did need to be a longer window between closing B&P and merging experiences in order to prevent orders from being negatively impacted.
March 16th: The merged experience will go-live in the remaining countries.
Novelty Elements: There are still internal discussions about whether novelty elements should be immediately made available on set launch day or not. As the conversation is still happening the PaB team will error on the side of caution and 2022 novelty elements will be removed from the merged PaB experience.
Looking for some knowledge on two issues ive just encountered on BrickLink.
First is a NSS (non shipping seller) and second is a seller who has stopped replying to messages because i asked for a refund on a tracked order that has not arrived.
I opened a dispute with PayPal for both transactions.
I have not needed to do this before so im wondering how long this process usually takes and is there anything I should / should not do to speed up the process.
From what i can gather, the seller is notified I have opened a dispute so I have to wait for them to make the next move!?
There is an option to escalate the clames but at what point do I do this?
I tried to buy 2 elephants, 2 lions and 2 lioness's from sellers in Holland, Belgium and Norway............all of them want around €25 - €30 in postage, that doesn't include insurance..am I missing something here?
After fees and postage it worked out not far off same to buy the two sets 60307,60302 from Zavvi and Smyths.
I’m delighted if it’s true- Lego store opening in Dublin in July?….
SuperValu have the LEGO Explorer magazine for sale. Noteworthy because I don't think I've ever noticed this one in Irish retailers before, although since they're on Issue 15 already I could be wrong. It comes with
On my way to work this week, I spotted these two classic Pirate sets in their original boxes in the window of a Vincent's charity shop:
I stopped for a closer look on my way home. The sets are used and seem to be in reasonable condition, although the clear plastic layer from the box of 6276 appeared to be gone. The raised baseplate from that set looked ok. I'm not sure if all the parts are there. Regarding price, the maximum eBay values were noted, but I think this is just to give people a better idea of the value of the sets as collectors items and not the actual asking price. I did notice smaller price labels of about EUR150 for 6276 and EUR260 for 6285 which is about the minimum Bricklink prices for used versions of the sets at the moment.
I've no interest in the sets myself as I already have my own ones, but if anyone is interested, I can PM the shop details.
I hope this is the right area for this topic.
I ordered some Lego products from this store during the Black Friday week, and now the status says since Friday evening last week the delivery is with the driver. As there is no movement and there is explicitly saying there is no delivery date as of yet, I reached out to the store (no phone number that they actually answer) so via email.
I got a day later a reply, and asked for an update today only to get a very snappish unpersonal answer citing delays with corona and whatnot, and that they replied to me yesterday (I actually responded to that email).
Unfortunately, I opted to pay with a credit card instead of PayPal as they wanted 5% on top for that, (i think that's illegal actually or at least very much against the terms of PayPal).
So I'm wondering if I should talk to my bank, and if anyone has experiences with this store (they looked legit to me).
